I wouldn’t want to leave 'Madhubala' even for a day : Drashti Dhami

Drashti Dhami doesn’t need any introduction. The graceful lady is undoubtedly one of the best actresses of small screen. This pretty girl will be seen shaking her legs on different Bollywood numbers in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 6.

Drashti is shooting round the clock for ‘Madhubala’ and like any daily soap actor she is dead tired at the end of the day. When we asked her how much time she is giving to the Jhalak? “3-4 hours per day," she replied promptly. Does it justify this show? She replied, “I am giving as much as time I can. It’s justified not justified I don't know.”

When we asked her choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan that it must be difficult for him to manage his time and schedules according to a daily soap actress. The dashing dude scratched his head and said, “I worked with Yana (Gupta) and Isha earlier and their dedication was 24 by 7. I can practice with them for the entire day. Unfortunately Drashti is working for entire 12 hours shift; she is already tired when she comes for practice. I am trying my best to keep her up while practicing. I haven't compromised in my choreography just because she is working in a daily soap. But my schedule is affected. I never started my rehearsals in the night. I am always an early morning person, now I am sleeping in the morning. My other work is gone, so my entire cycle is shifted. I had taken up the commitment so I am giving my best.”

Are we going to see any changes in Madhubala track so that Drashti can give more time for Jhalak? When we asked this to Drashti, Salman immediately grabbed the mic and said, “I wish aisa hoo jaaye (laughs).”

“I love my show. I got Jhalak because of Madhubala I wouldn’t want to leave my show for sure even for a day,” Drashti affirmed.

Drashti had a sparkling chemistry with her Geet co-star Gurmeet Choudhary and her currently her on-screen chemistry with Vivian D’Sena is getting better day by day. When we asked her to rate her chemistry with Salman, she said, “10 on 10.”

When asked Salman to rate her, he said “As a student 9.5.”

Why not 10? “As nobody is perfect in this world, nobody can be,” says Salman.

Salman refused to rate Drashti as a dancer,"She still has a long journey as a dancer. I cannot rate myself as a dancer, so how do I dare rate her. I am still learning dancing so I can never rate anybody in this world.”

On one hand Madhubala (Drashti Dhami) and RK (Vivian Dsena) are knitting dreams in their own love on the other hand Dipali and Padmini are trying all the ways to stop their marriage in Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.

Padmini wants to save Madhubala from RK since she do not believe RK and do not want Madhubala to get hurt again. Dipali wants to take Madhubala away from RK’s life so that she can keep RK for herself.

In the coming episode, Sultan will do something to stop RK and Madhubala’s haldi ceremony and on other hand Dipali is making some fishy plans.

RK kept theme of bright yellow for haldi ceremony on which Dipali says she will make sure that bright yellow them turns to dark black for Madhubala and RK.

Will Dipali get successful in her plans? Will Sultan do something to stop Rishbala wedding as well?

Telly actress Drashti Dhami is enjoying the adulation showered by fans following the popularity of her show ‘Madhubala’.

Drashti Dhami, currently seen as Madhubala in drama series "Madhubala- Ek Ishkq Ek Junoon", is happy that her character in the popular show is earning her a lot of love.

She gives credit to the entire team behind the show.

"Of course I have fans who love me, watch my show. Besides the storyline is also interesting and grippy. For this, the credit goes to everyone," Drashti said here Sunday on the set of the show.

Set against the backdrop of filmdom, "Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon" is about middle-class aspirations, values and desires. The show went on air last year in May and features Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena in the lead roles.

Colors' Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon after completion of a successful one year is once again geared up for RK (Vivian D'sena) and Madhu's ( Drashti Dhami) big fat wedding. But this time with full enthusiasm both RK and Madhu are waiting for their D-Day.

In the show, post Haldi, Mehendi and Sangeet ceremonies the whole Film industry is waiting to grace RK and Madhu's wedding. "The ace designer Neeta Lulla has designed for Madhu's (Lehenga) wedding dress and in the show RK will invite Neeta to grace the wedding. Neeta will shoot for the same today (29th May, 2013) at 5:00 PM," said source.

We too hear that the team of the upcoming flick Chennai Express is also expected to be on the sets of Madhubala soon. However SRK's unavailability due to his shoulder surgery, he is not able to final the dates with the channel. But if everything falls in proper place the Chennai Express team will be seen on the show to promote the flick.

Drashti’s ready to give a jhalak



TV’s Madhubala, Drashti Dhami, is usually seen dancing to protagonist RK’s tunes. But now, you’ll see her shake a leg on Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja 6.

When we caught up with her on the sets of the show, Drashti was sitting pretty in a red gown, ready for her act. She admitted that while she had taken up the challenge, juggling two shows is not an easy task. “Initially, I was very excited. Later, I realised it’s going to be difficult juggling between Madhubala and Jhalak,” she said.

Drashti says she isn’t a trained dancer. “As a child, I learned Bharatnatyam for a year, just for fun, because my mother wanted me to. After that I joined Shaimak Davar’s institute, again just for fun. Jhalak is very enjoyable. Even if I’m tired throughout the day, when I reach the Jhalak house there’s a different energy altogether.” she said.

Drashti says choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan has been extremely patient with her: “Salman is very understanding as he knows that I shoot for Madhubala the entire day and then come for rehearsals. I think with time he is going to get strict with me but for now I’m doing as much as I can manage. Let’s see what happens later. Currently he is teaching me new dance forms — I’ve never done contemporary before, or waltz for that matter. I’m a little hesitant because here you have to do everything with perfection, not just for the heck of it.”

The actress has shot her opening act on the show and also had a performance with Ranbir Kapoor. She recounts, “I was nervous and it showed. I will be more aware of the stage in my next performance and I hope that nervousness won’t be there. Dancing with Ranbir was fun.”

And what advice have bhabhi and bhaiya Suhasi and Jaisheel Dhami, who were in Nach Baliye 5, given Drashti? “They have encouraged me to put my best foot forward,” Drashti says.
