With the story of protagonists Yash (Gurmeet Choudhary) and Aarti (Kritika Sengar) and their remarriage coming to an end, the new story will see Rubina Dilaik, Karan V. Grover and Srishty Rode in the lead roles.
The new story is about a popular TV actress Divya (Rubina), who puts aside her love life in her quest to build a career. Karan will play Raj, a disillusioned young man, who ends up marrying Sarita, played by Srishty, chosen by his family, after losing his first love.
Karan, who has seen 'punarvivaah' in his family, said: "I will try to give the best and make the character relatable. I was happily surprised to get the opportunity, I like experimenting, so I accepted it."
Seen in serials like "Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli", Karan is currently part of the comedy show "Hum Hain Aapke In Laws" that comes on SAB TV.
Rubina, who played the lead in "Choti Bahu", said "Punar Vivah is a second chance to live life" and every individual has "a right" to get that second chance.
Talking about the show, she added: "Great responsibility on us to live up to the expectations of the audience. The show will project the real life love story of an actress, which I guess everyone wants to know about."
The new chapter will also see Srishty, last seen on the small screen as the grown up Shobha in "Shobha Somnath Ki".
"I am looking forward to play Sarita as it would show a different side of me as an actress... Sarita is not a typical kind of 'bahu'. She is very strong-minded."
The new chapter of "Punarvivaah...Ek Nayi Umeed" will start May 20 on Zee TV.

Kratika Sengar rose to fame with her brilliant performance in Jhansi ki Rani and is currently seen as Aarti in Punar Vivah (Zee TV).

She entered into a candid chat with Tellychakkar.com.

Shared Kratika “It’s amazing to work in Punar Vivah. I remember I was initially criticized as I had done Jhansi Ki Rani while Gurmeet (Yash) was very famous after having paired up with Drashti Dhami (in Geet). Naturally, people were quite apprehensive as to how will Aarti and Yash pair up. But thanks to the audiences, they have accepted our jodi (pairing) quite well and we have got a couple of Jodi awards too. Talking about me, I am a total extrovert and am quite mischievous.”

“Further, my bonding with Gurmeet on the sets is quite good. I am highly inspired by him since he is a very down-to-earth person. He is also very professional and hard working. He worked really hard during his Jhalak days. He has one more amazing quality and that is he is a prankster who never gets caught. The entire unit bears the brunt of his deeds as he is very serious and that’s why we can’t make out that he is the master mind behind pranks. Otherwise, post his shots, he mostly keeps to himself,” Kratika ended.

The talented and gorgeous Kratika Sengar who was last seen in Shashi Sumeet Mittal's popular daily soap Punar Vivah on Zee TV, which ended a few days back, talks about her upcoming projects, the feeling when she came to know that her show is ending and much more.

Lets have a look on what she said...

Do you think Punar Vivah deserved a sudden end?
Well, no one thought that the show would end so soon. We had heard the rumors but we never believed the same as we were not informed officially. It was a shock when suddenly one day we received a confirmation about the show ending.

What was your reaction when the news was confirmed?
I was shocked! In fact everyone on the sets was very much shocked to hear about Punar Vivah ending. But the best part was that we did not stretch the storyline and I think it was the right time to end the show as everything related to the concept of Punar Vivah had happened on the show.

Do you think that the production house shouldn't have called it off so suddenly?
No, I think the production house has taken a perfect call. My producers - Shashiji & Sumeetji (Mittal) are very sensible and they will never take any step just randomly. Whatever they have done is very right.

Will you miss Punar Vivah?
Yes, I will miss the show very much as I was attached to show. I worked for the show for almost 15 months, so obviously it was very close to my heart. I will also miss every co-actor as we bonded very well during the show.

How was your journey of Punar Vivah?
It was an amazing journey. The best of my life time was spent on the sets. Though it was hectic I enjoyed a lot. I have met some amazing people during this show and also have got an opportunity to work with talented people. I am very much thankful to Shashiji and Sumeetji, for coming up with such a show and making me a part of it.

Are you still in touch with your co-stars of Punar Vivah now?
Yes, we are so attached that we catch up every second day over a coffee, at restaurants or at somebody's home.

Will we see you soon on television?
Well, right now I am caught up with my work at home. I have taken a new home for myself and this break is the perfect time for me to catch up with all the stuff that is pending in decorating my home. So I haven't thought of anything as of now until I finish with my home stuff.

If you were offered Punar Vivah 2, would you take it up?
Honestly, Shashi Sumeet Mittal is the best production house to work with, but Punar Vivah cast cannot be a part of Punar Vivah 2, because if they had to be a part of Punar Vivah 2, than Punar Vivah would have not ended (smiles).

What kind of roles are you looking forward to?
I am looking at anything that is challenging and different from what I have played earlier on television.

Are you open to any reality show?
Yes, I would love to do any dance reality show, as I love dancing. Singing is not my cup of tea and shows like Bigg Boss I feel I cannot do it. For me, it is torture to stay in a house for months. I salute the winners totally! (smiles).

A quote you follow in life?
In whatever you do, see it to it that you never hurt your parents.

Television and films will give you name and fame, but sometimes, it will also introduce you to a perilous side. Well, we are talking about fanatic fans, who at times cross limits and create troubles for their favourite stars.

Beautiful and talented Kratika Sengar (Zee TV’s Punar Vivah season 1), recently faced a similar experience.

A few days back we saw a tweet by Kratika which read, “I ve no clue about deepika malhotra's existence.”

Wondering what it meant, we got to work and soon found out that apparently Kratika was referring to an obsessive fan of hers. Our source says that apparently the fan, named Deepika Malhotra, is claiming on social media that she is Kratika’s cousin and even went on to abuse the actress.

We called up Kratika to learn more on the story and she shared, “Yes, a certain fan is spreading false news about me. Hence I made it a point to clear the air in the above tweet. I also wish to inform my fans that I am not on Facebook, but only on Twitter.”

Another khabru added more spice to the matter by saying that Deepika is really a big fan of Gurmeet Choudhary (Kratika’s co star in Punar Vivah season 1) and she gets jealous when Gurmeet romances actresses on screen. Apparently, she is the same fan who went on to talk negative about Drashti Dhami too (Gurmeet and Drashti worked in Star One’s Geet).
Well, all we can say is that fame has many sides, and the above instance is one of them. But fans, we believe you all should love and respect your favourite stars, but never go over board to cause them harm.
